The Story Behind Jolloful
From Berlin Breakfasts to Global Tables
Jolloful was born from a simple question: How can more people experience authentic African food?
What began as a group of professionals from 17 different countries sharing meals and stories in Berlin became a mission to make African cuisine more accessible around the world.
Inspired by the richness of West African food and the diversity of African culinary traditions, Jolloful was created to bring authentic African meals to modern tables through a combination of tradition, innovation and convenience.
Africa in Every Bite.
Years passed. La Provence closed, and the group drifted apart.
Then, in 2018, a surprise reunion in Berlin brought back the same question:
“Where can we get real African food?”
They searched but couldn't find an experience that captured the richness and authenticity they remembered.
The search became more than a conversation. It became a realization: African food was difficult to access, and the experience was often inconsistent.
That was the problem Jolloful set out to solve.
African cuisine is one of the world's richest culinary traditions, yet authentic African food has historically been difficult to access consistently outside the continent.
Jolloful was created to help change that.
Our goal is to make African meals more accessible without losing the flavors, traditions and cultural identity that make them special. By combining authentic recipes with modern food production and convenient preparation, we are bringing African food to more tables around the world.
